Portrait head of a Philosopher: The beard and hair cut suggest that this is a philosopher or a poet. These portraits were generally used for funerary purposes.

Provenance: This sculpture was part of a private collection of antiquities in Germany gathered together in the 1960s and 70s. Chevalier collection, Konstanz am Bodensee, Germany
