Height: 12 cm
Carved with a high forehead, a straight-cut pronounced brow-line and deep-set eyes, with a flaring nose and a horizontal carved groove indicating a mouth
Provenance: Excavated in 1968 near Brixworth Church, Northamptonshire, in the presence of Peter Woods, the county archaeologist at that time.
Literature: Accompanied by a copy of the site plan and Mr Woods's hand-written notes.
Sold
