The Richard Philp Gallery was founded in 1965. Currently based in the Hammersmith area of London we are also regular exhibitors at the top international art and antiques fairs, including Grosvenor House, London and the Winter Antiques Show, New York. Our areas of specialisation include early portraiture, old-master drawings, Medieval and Renaissance sculpture, antiquities and 20th-century British and European drawings - an exciting amalgamation of periods and cultures. The human figure and the various ways it is interpreted is a continuous theme throughout our collections.
Our aim is to build up long-term relationships with our clients by offering a highly personal and individual service. All objects are thoroughly researched and supplied with a condition report if required. They are also, of course, fully guaranteed. We are renowned for our sensitive use of period frames on both old-master and 20th-century drawings and specialise in the sympathetic presentation of all works of art. Advice on framing, restoration and care and presentation is available.

After having a shop for 37 years at Ledbury Road, London W2, Richard moved the business to his house and now concentrates on fairs and private appointments
